Sweatcoin vs Sweat Wallet: What's the difference?

Sweatcoin tracks your steps and rewards you with sweatcoins, its in-app points. Sweat Wallet is a separate crypto app for managing $SWEAT and other supported assets. Connecting the apps lets eligible movement earn $SWEAT.

01

Which app do you need?

If you want to track your walks and use the points you earn for offers in the Sweatcoin marketplace, start with Sweatcoin. The app checks your steps and awards sweatcoins under its earning rules. You can use Sweatcoin without choosing to earn crypto.

Sweat Wallet lets you manage crypto assets, including $SWEAT. A crypto token has a record of ownership on a blockchain, a shared transaction ledger. Sweat Wallet is the app you use to view those assets and authorise actions such as sending them. The amount of $SWEAT you hold and its market value are separate numbers; its price can fall as well as rise.

For earning $SWEAT through walking, the apps work together: Sweatcoin verifies your steps, and eligible movement creates tokens that you claim in Sweat Wallet. You keep a separate balance in each app.

Check the app name when looking at a balance, offer, or subscription. Each product has its own features and terms. Sweatcoin Premium and SWEAT MAX, the subscription in Sweat Wallet, are separate purchases.

EarningVerified steps earn sweatcoins under your plan's rules.Eligible steps verified by a connected Sweatcoin account mint $SWEAT, which you claim in the wallet.
RewardsSpend sweatcoins on marketplace offers or donate through the app.Use eligible wallet rewards and features such as Growth Jars, each with its own terms.
CustodySweatcoin maintains your points balance in its app.A self-custody wallet: you control access to blockchain assets and must protect your recovery methods.
Tokens and balancesSweatcoins are in-app points, not cryptocurrency.$SWEAT is a crypto token. Unclaimed earnings, available tokens, and tokens locked in Growth Jars are distinct.
RegionsCheck Sweatcoin's supported countries and your local app store.$SWEAT has its own regional restrictions. Sweatcoin availability alone does not establish eligibility.
AccountsRequires a Sweatcoin account; crypto participation is optional.Requires a wallet. Connect it to Sweatcoin to earn from steps; Apple or Google wallet sign-in alone does not complete that connection.
03

Can you transfer sweatcoins to Sweat Wallet?

You can't transfer an existing sweatcoin balance into Sweat Wallet or exchange it for $SWEAT. Connecting the apps enables eligible movement to earn the token separately. It does not move your points across or turn them into crypto.

That also explains why the two balances don't match. Each app counts a different asset, and the earning rules differ. Spending sweatcoins on a Sweatcoin offer uses that points balance. It isn't a transaction from your $SWEAT balance.

Within Sweat Wallet, check which balance you're viewing. Walking earnings need to be claimed before they become available to use. Tokens you've put into a Growth Jar remain locked for its term. Neither is a missing transfer from Sweatcoin. Our walking guide explains earning and claiming in more detail.

04

How do you install and connect the apps?

Use each product's official website or the store links below to download the apps. For walking earnings, install both Sweatcoin and Sweat Wallet and check that $SWEAT is available in your region. Allow Sweatcoin the movement permissions it requests, and follow its device guidance for tracking in the background.

If you already have a wallet, sign into it with your existing login method. If you're new, follow the account creation steps in Sweat Wallet. You can create a wallet with Apple or Google sign-in, but you still need to connect Sweatcoin before your steps can earn $SWEAT.

Choose Connect to Sweatcoin in Sweat Wallet, then confirm the connection in the Sweatcoin app. If it fails, use the connection guide below or contact support with the message you see. Creating another wallet is not a way to recover a missing balance.

05

What happens when you change phones?

Changing phones means accessing your existing accounts again. Your blockchain assets don't move into a new wallet just because you've installed the app on another device. Use the login or recovery method associated with your existing wallet and follow the official new-phone guide.

Apple or Google sign-in opens your existing wallet only if that login belongs to it. Using an unlinked social account creates a separate wallet with a different balance. Resetting a wallet also creates a new one; it does not restore the old tokens.

Before changing devices, check your recovery options in Sweat Wallet and keep them private. Never share a secret phrase, backup code, or private key with someone offering to connect the apps or recover your balance.

06

Which support team can help?

Contact Sweatcoin support for missing steps, sweatcoin balances, marketplace orders, or Sweatcoin account problems. Sweat Wallet support handles wallet access, $SWEAT balances and claiming, and wallet features. The teams use separate systems, so sending the question to the right one helps it reach someone who can investigate.

For a connection problem, name both apps and describe where the process stops. Include your phone model, app versions, and the exact error message. Keep recovery credentials out of your request.
